Holy Tom Hiddleston

I finally was able to see Kong: Skull Island this weekend. I'd been waiting for it to be in a general admission theater instead of a "Screening Room" theater. I'm a simple gal that way.

Holy Tom Hiddleston.

Am I right?!

When we first meet Conrad, he pulls some Jason Statham fighting action, amazing.

I'm not trying to spoil the flick for those who have yet to see it.
But it was so good, better than I expected, and I was really excited to see it. My favorite part of any King Kong story is how they point out that the giant "monster" is not a monster at all. He's protecting his domain, and all the smaller beings that live there. Once humans show a little humanity and understanding, the dynamic of the movie starts to change. Instead being rivals, they start to work together.

And let's be honest, that's a lesson most people need to learn.

Kong: Skull Island is rated PG-13.. there is a lot of violence, and only one F-bomb, delivered perfectly by John C. Reilly (who, of course, provides the most glorious comedic relief). I won't lie, I was a little disappointed we didn't get a MFer from good ole Samuel L. Jackson.

It was a great watch, and didn't feel like the two hours run time it has.

And who would have thought that Loki was actually a ridiculously good looking man.

Belinda Blinks

Porno Monday is back! Well, kind of. Today we got a new episode of My Dad Wrote a Porno. It was a long time coming. It was just a recap of Book 2, which has just reinforced how much I need Book 3 in my life.

Its coming soon.

May 29th, 2017.

I've missed the adventures of Belinda, and her mission to sell Steeles Pots and Pans. This gal is willing to go the extra mile to secure the sale and build the business.

And by extra mile, I mean, she'll schtup anyone, anywhere.

Belinda Blinked is written by the amazing author Rocky Flinstone. And boy does Rocky have a way with words. He's described a woman's breasts as hanging like pomegranates.

A post shared by My Dad Wrote A Porno (@mydadwrotea) on

He's described a woman's nipples as big as the rivets from the Titanic.

And we've learned he clearly doesn't know the inside of a woman, based on how many times her cervix has been involved.

There really is so much to love about this podcast. I can't wait for Porno Mondays to be back in full swing.

Byeeeeeeeeeee!

Impatiently Waiting..

I mean.. How long has it been since The Black Tapes had is last season finale? (Don't get up, I'll look..). August 16th, 2016. That's eight months ago. EIGHT MONTHS?! I don't know what is going on, I don't know how my love Dr. Strand is doing since seeing Cora Lee. AND HELLO, THEY TRIGGERED SOME SORT OF APOCALYPSE at the end of the last episode.

What's that? You don't know what The Black Tapes are?

Oh, wait? You don't even know what THIS BLOG is?

Oh my. Well, this blog is about what entertains me (and sometimes my friend Jackie). I listen to podcasts pretty much every day of my life. Lots of different podcasts. The Black Tapes was the first one that got me hooked. I mean, Serial was good, obviously, but I didn't know there was more to the podcast world beyond Adnan Syed and terrible defense attorneys.

The Black Tapes busted my world wide open. Its my favorite. I could talk to anyone about it. Whether they care or not. And I care for all the people in The Black Tapes world. *Side Note to Dr. Strand - Hi, you're amazing, and you've introduced the word apophenia into my daily conversations. Call me!*

Which leads me back to where I started a few lines up. I'm waiting impatiently for the return of The Black Tapes. TANIS has returned, Rabbits has started. Yet I'm eight months without an update.

Luckily, I have a whole bunch of other podcasts to keep me busy. Stay tuned.
